Just home from Charlotte. A huge "Bravo Zulu" for the Navy football team, especially the Seniors. They beat Army four times, Air Force four times, went to four bowl games, and played their hearts out yesterday. For 59 minutes and 57 seconds, it was "Navy" football. Our defense was superb, coaching was fantastic, and our offense controlled the ball. And it WAS a pity that a walk-on back-up place kicker won the game for BC as time expired.

The sit-down full course meal "tailgater" at the Convention Center for, my guess, 8000 midshipmen and family and Navy alumni and fans was a class act.

The 80% of the 55,000 who attended that were Navy fans, cheered their hearts out and saw a great game.

The only downside, the F-18 flyover missed the stadium and was not visible to a lot of fans on the Navy side. My dad kept asking about the flyover and then thought what he heard was just the preliminary sound effects.

Next year is going to be even better. I can't wait.
