Navy-Notre Dame Game this Saturday

Don't necessarily disagree with you in many ways. But it won't happen with ND. ND won't sign a contract with a stadium that small. Beside it's USNA's responsibility to sell enough local tickets to make it feel like a home game. It also doesn't do a dang thing from a revenue perspective for us as the home school to give up that many ticket sales. Talk in theoretical terms if we win this and that doesn't do much for an athletic dept (even if Navy beat Houston they still would of had to win the conf championships also). Guaranteed money is the important thing, especially for a school that has that large of an athletic dept (for a school of just over 4,000, the amount of sports USNA has is off the charts) and athletic renovations. Looking forward to the game today.

At a capacity of 107,000, Michigan stadium could hold the crowd, but not the vitriol. No Blue tears shed when ND fell off the Michigan schedule. I'm hoping we get to sing:

"Tears, tears for old Notre Dame, they lost another, ain't it a shame..."

Today, this Army mom is all for Navy. :)

Wow! Great game! ND having a tough year but Navy looked great. AF will display the Cup proudly!! Congrats to them

Game was a blast! Great back and forth battle. That fourth down conversion was heart pounding. USNA was well represented. I can tell you as an athlete who made many long trips home, a big W like that makes for a much better plane ride home. Heck guessing the team is home around 9 PM tonight!

I salute the Mids. They deserved to win and did.

Hoops - glad it isn't me singing at your upcoming meeting! Enjoy making your workmate eat some crow (this year).

Go Navy!!! Congrats on a great game!

Uh... check your calendar. Sept 1, 2018 - ND's opening game.

Yeah, I'm aware of that but enjoying what we've got while we've got it. ;)

Great game! Definitely better to watch than Army-Air Force, which I was the other game I was switching between.

San Diego? This Marine might have to go to a game for the first time in a long while...

I love it when Marines do the "this Marine" thing.

Refreshing and well deserved win!

ND was always a guaranteed loss when I was @ Canoe U.

It was a great game. Now DD can always say her first college game was Navy!!! No matter what school she ends up attending next fall. The crowd was great, we had both ND and N all around us. But none of that ugliness you get when you end up in the wrong section of the stadium.

Great game! Definitely better to watch than Army-Air Force,

I was at the Black Knight's beatdown..too many penalties committed by AF to be a thoroughly enjoyable game. 1st time for DW & I @ WP & we really enjoyed the architecture & fall foliage. Their stadium needs "updating" as a realtor would say. Who leads in CiC's Trophy wins, you may be asking? Spoiler Alert! It's 2016's winner!:wiggle:
