Hello All,

I received a call today from a NROTC recruiter checking up on my application progress and informed him that I was no longer interested in pursuing a 4-year AD NROTC scholarship and was instead pivoting towards a GRFD AROTC scholarship. After hearing this, my recruiter did his job and tried to convince me of the benefits of pursuing NROTC and asked if I had considered pursuing a NROTC reserves scholarship and suggested I keep my options open.

My problem stems from the fact that I'd been trying to find 4-year NROTC reserve scholarships for the past month without any success. Could somebody point me in the right direction of where I might be able to find more information? Thank you very much!

I have never heard of a NROTC “reserves” scholarship. I have always heard that all NROTC grads commission as active duty ensigns.

if you want the straight info. directly from the source (never trust a recruiter) contact the NROTC scholarship office in Pensacola.

I recall running across some info in the Navy Reserve scholarship last year. I'll see if I can find where I saw it. If the recruiter was an officer recruiter, he/she should be able to point you to some info on the program.
