This is interesting... The author is saying that we have fooled ourselves into thinking that if we create a bunch of Rambos that everything will work out for our side in the end.
This isn't so much an attack on the troops themselves as much as I think it is someone saying that maybe we need to think more longer term and less blind super heroes.
Obviously this is from an outside perspective... What do you think? I'd love to hear a serviceman or servicewoman's take on this. There's only so much I can understand not having served, myself.
