When I first saw the article, I though "come on now, this is just too much" but after looking through the photos I have warmed a bit. I even like the bit about the "shoulder boards" with their actual midshipman ranks. Then I think "this is pretty dorky, it's not a military uniform".... and then "but it's kind of classy"..... and then "no, it's tacky." Is it a reminder that the athletes are also destine for military service or a publicity stunt to remind folks that the Navy matters? I just wish they would stay consistent. Of course, this also means each season they'll need new uniforms with new ranks for the students as they move up. Still.... interesting look. I guess at the end of the day, while I cheer for Army over Navy, I like this jersey decision.
