I don't want to speak for them, but it's my impression that moderators here discourage sharing some of the personal level of info you might find in an application.
You could consider posting generic info like GPA or test scores, etc. I suspect it's possible that you could be quite competitive for USAFA appointment without getting into the summer seminar and vice versa. I wouldn't read too much into it.
As a very good alternative, consider a Directed Tour. I went last May over a long weekend with my DS and we had a blast. We even had time to get into the mountains (he had never seen one before) West of Denver and he got to run around in snow for awhile (which he had also never done). We saw enough of the school to get a good feel for it. He got to meet his counselor for his region (not officially party of the tour), met several cadets, walked the grounds with his group, etc.
My advice would also be to focus on the actual candidate requirements as they're posted at the admissions site. Always do your best on GPA and class rank. Get on Khan Academy (or other reputable SAT ACT prep site). Participate in a sport you enjoy. Join and have fun with a scouting organization. Show leadership at school and or in your community. Have a plan B and C for college. Look into ROTC and other scholarships. Prepare for the CFA now, don't wait. That means get someone to help you and go do everything on the list. You want to avoid any unpleasant surprises. You might think the basketball throw (or some other part) is a joke. Many folks have made that mistake. See about getting a coach at your high school to administer the test if other test examiners are unavailable. Line up required teacher and personal recommendations. Look into requirements for all nomination sources - don't wait. Get all of the nominations that you can. Multiple nominations makes it easier for the Academy to say yes. Honestly ask yourself if you're ready for this commitment. Remember, you need nominations for each if you go that route. You are setting yourself on a path that isn't for everyone.
Very best of luck.
