Well after a long time today I recieved my formal offer for a 4 year Army ROTC scholarship to Norwich University. I didnt think I was going to get it, but meh... seems like the Army's troop expansion thought otherwise :shake:

Congratulations and good luck, Chip!!!

Norwich is an excellent school!!

Ha Ha ! Yippee!!! :shake: :yllol:

Great job Chip! Way to hang in there! (I think I said before on this forum the Army had scholarship money left - ) What a great graduation party you can have now!

:groupwave:

WTG!

Way to go!!! Congrats to you...now relax and enjoy the rest of the summer!:band:

Congrats, dude! I can't imagine the feeling. I want to go to Norwich but I am hoping to get a Navy scholarship. Close enough! What were your high school stats (gpa, ec's, sports, etc.). Just curious! Gotta be a great feeling. Do you know what career path you want to go with yet?

My high school stats were not great to be honest, 82gpa, 1070 on math and verbal combined. The army is more lenient with its high school requirements than the navy is. And I was probably one of the last cadets to be chosen for a scholarship too lol. Keep your grades up and try to get at least a 1200 on M/V i guess. I plan on commissioning into one of the army's direct combat mos (infantry/armor/cavalry/field art)

Not to distract from your great accomplishment Chip, but when I read the last MOS you were looking at, I had to go back and read it again. The first thought that came to my mind was "When did the Army start looking for people to draw pictures of fields?"

It is the way they communicate. "See the nice picture here. This is the hill we are going to attack.":yllol:

Now I understand why the Army hands out crayons for tests instead of pencils. (Sorry Chip, couldn't resist the pile on!)

The same crayons West Point uses to draw out plays against Annapolis :(

lol

lol

And we all know how well that's been working over the last four years! Can you draw me a picture of the Comander-in-Chief's Trophy? It'll have to be from memory, WOOPs haven't seen it in a generation!

Swabs Rule!

Except obviously WP players have been eating the crayons instead of drawing plays with them.
