Son is a sophomore and we went to an academy info night last month. Thank you to the lady who told us about this site. Looking forward to learn a ton here.

Welcome, there are some great reads on this site. Try to tackle a little at a time. Your DS is a sophomore. You have time to try to read up on this. A lot of our DS/DD have their own accounts on here and use this forum to do some research. Good Luck on your adventure- you will find there are many paths to a commission, make sure to have plan A, B, C and more alternate plans- just in case. Welcome aboard.

Highly recommend reading the stickies at the forum tops, especially Nominations and Acronyms. Deep reads of SA admissions pages, links, and drop-downs too - many answers are there. Ditto MOC website pages on SA nom process.
 
What Academy(s) is your son interested in? On this board all of them are equal; even if in real life West Point is far more equal than the others, and USNA is slightly (by a ton) less equal than all.
 
Thank you, everyone! My son said he is interested in Air Force, Army and Navy. I can see brovol is biased - you must be a grad yourself?

His honor, Judge Brovol is a tad biased for Army (as I am) but is still a good source of info on the forum.

I am not "a tad" anything. Lol. I'm not in the courtroom here, so I can be as biased as I want. . I only wish it helped Army win football games.
