I haven't seen anyone on the Class of 2021 appointment thread appointed from New Jersey. I received a congressional nomination late January and my 3Q letter came in approximately one week later. Does anyone know, historically, when NJ slate winners receive appointments? and will the admissions committee meet this upcoming week for hopefully the next big wave?

Some in NJ have already received appointments to the class of 2021. You may want to contact your WP liaison to ask if there is any news on your file.

Since you guys are from NJ, you can answer this: have you heard form Senator Booker about a nomination yet? I haven't and it's already March.

If you didn't receive a nomination on your portal by now, you did not receive one. The deadline for nominations was January 31. Did you get any other nominations?

I have one from my MOC (NJ12) but no one that I know has heard from Booker at all. There is nothing on portals and no letters have been received.

I got a call from senator Booker and my portal updated on the 31st of Jan. However I'm stuck with medical for DoDmerb with some remedial so my chances are out the window now

Can anyone tell me, if my son or daughter does not receive a USMA appointment, will they receive any notice of such? My son has 3 nominations. He is #32 of the 40 appointments available for our state, however there are only 2 for our congressional district. The two students selected were higher on the list, they have both accepted the appointments. There is a slim extremely slim chance of a 3rd appointment for our district but we are not hopeful.

How did you get the ranking "#32 of the 40"?

He had a meeting with his FFR and he looked it up somehow

Well since 2 students from his congressional district was offered appointments and accepted, what's more important is his NWL ranking. I don't know what #32 in NJ corresponds to in regards to NWL, but if he is in the top 150, he will be offered an appointment.

I believe if there are no more seats available from your district, USMA has 150 spots for NWL candidates who weren't ranked 1 or 2 from their districts and they pick the top 150 candidates. Historically, most are from New Jersey.

Well that's something I guess... He also has a Service Nomination from the NG. We were told there are 200 appointments nationwide & these have not yet been selected...and we wait wait wait. Which brings me back to the original question, IF you do not receive an appointment, do they let you know that?

Yes by receiving the TWE
