Last night before bed, dd decided to check her USNA portal just for the heck of it. This is how she found out that she received a Congressional Nom (district 5). She hasn't received an email or phone call from the Congressman, but her nom is up on the portal. How weird is that?

Have any of you received an actual nomination letter from Menendez?
MY DS did not hear anything from NJ-05 , but today (1/27/16) when we checked the nomination portal for USMA, the nomination was there
For those wondering, my guidance counselor called Senator Booker's office (not at my request, my nom came from Menendez) to find out when nominations were being sent out . he was told the notifications would be mailed out early February, and told me that they didn't say anything about calling. Chances are, it will show up on your portal before you get the actual letter! I got the call and they said it would take a day as it was sent that morning, but the nom showed up on my portal literally 2 minutes after so i guess it goes through very quickly. Good luck!

My son just checked his USMA portal and noticed he'd received an "NJ61 nomination."
He emailed his admissions coordinator who told him it was from Senator Booker.
No letter. No call. But it's a nomination...recorded January 29.
