New Jersey Noms?

Received a nom to USMA from Congressman Rothman NJ-09, as did another classmate.

One other classmate received on to USNA, same district.

SO NJ-09 should have all been announced today.
 
This week

I believe we will all hear something anytime within the next 2 weeks. Hoping it good news. Standing by.
 
So for those of you who applied to two service academies instead of one, did you split you senator nomination preferences? or did you put your first choice on both and then hoped that you might get your second with your congressman? I am asking because USNA is definitely my first choice with USMA a close second. I am just wondering what other people do, with regards to putting all your eggs in one basket or not.

With three MoC's to apply for nominations, I did one academy each for each senator and both of my academy choices to my representative. I split my nominations for the senators. My representative asked me to rank my academies in order of preference. I haven't heard from either senator yet, but my representative nominated me to both my choices, so it's possible to get the both of your noms from one source. I don't remember how many you can apply for, but I think the VP allows you to apply for a nom to any/all of the academies.
 
I just got a nomination from NJ-05!!! :)
The hard copy letters are being mailed out now, but I found out a bit prematurely lol.
 
Senators???

PLEASE! If anyone hears from Lautenberg or Menendez..please let us know!
 
DS got his nomination call on New Years Eve and then again 2 weeks later and are still waiting for a letter...oh well seems were are in the holding pattern anyway for everything.....hard to wait...Did anyone hear from Menendez or Laughtenberg (SP)? Do they call or send letters?

Last year at this time (almost to the day) Senators Menendez or Laughtenberg called with a letter to follow.
 
I checked my USAFA portal this morning. It was updated sometime recently with a nomination from Senator Mendendez. I had no idea it was coming and I haven't received an email, letter, or call. In any case, if he's reading this, thank you Senator Menendez!

Congratulations! At least we know the Senators are out there! :thumb:
 
Thanks! And I'd assume it could still take some time for them to contact/update some files. I just have to worry about midterms and my grades now! Stay hopeful everybody!
