Good on them Navy choosing the avoid the trap Airbus set the Army with the Lakota. Super nice to have the type rating, but there are far more economical options out there both in terms of operating costs and maintenance supply systems than an aircraft that was never meant to be a trainer.

I agree. I have heard nothing good about the Lakota as a trainer.
