New NROTC Status Updates

OK...so this morning my DS's status changed from "Your application is at Naval Education and Training Command for final processing and selection determination..." to "Your application is at CNRC for additional processing." NOW is says "Your application is at your local Recruiter for initial processing" - the same thing it said when the application was originally submitted. Has anyone else gotten anything similar? Anyone know what it means? Local Recruiter's not answering his phone...

My status has not changed in months. It says NTSC has received your application. There are no missing items. No decision has been made. Did your sons ever say something along those lines? When did he apply. Thanks

No, I don't think his ever said that. Was told his application was complete more than once (via emails from local recruiter) but then a couple of weeks later he would get an email from the recruiter saying he needed something else. I guess it finally was submitted to Pensacola mid-February.

Finally got in touch with the local recruiter today...his application was kicked back from Pensacola because he needed another "Other Teacher Evaluation." Originally he applied Marine Option and submitted the required names and email addresses for the English and Other (his Math teacher) Teacher Evals. Then he decided to switch to Navy Option and they required Math and Other Teacher Evals, so they (Pensacola) deleted the English Teacher Eval and left the Math Teacher Eval where it was in the Other Teacher Eval slot. Then when DS submitted names & email addresses for the Math and Other Teacher (Physics), they sent another email to Math Teacher requesting an eval since the Math Teacher Eval slot was empty but failed to send the request to his Physics teacher for the Other Teacher Eval since his original Math Teacher Eval was still sitting there...So his Math Teacher completed the second eval that was sent to him. So the local recruiter sent his application in with two evals from the same Math Teacher and none from the Other Teacher...

Local recruiter says that when he submits the application and materials it is reviewed by some group before it goes to a review board. So, when this group was reviewing it, they found the discrepancy and sent it back to him for correction. DS resent the eval request to his Physics teacher and now waiting for him to complete it and send it back to local recruiter who will then send it back on it's merry way. He may never get a look at this point.
