Hi everyone,
I got a new correspondence letter on my portal today and I just wanted some feedback from some people if they know exactly what it means.

In a shorter version it basically says "We have qualified your file. We have eliminated rolling admissions for this cycle. All qualified applicants are placed on a National Waiting List until appointments are made."

Is this good? What exactly does this mean for me?

It means you are 3Q and now you just wait for them to start giving out appointments from your slate...could be anywhere between now and April/May. Congratulations it is a good thing.

I recall DS got the exact same thing last year. Being 'qualified' is a good thing; not a guarantee.

Just ignore the 'eliminated rolling admissions' reference; appointments will be coming out over next few weeks.

I'm new here but also waiting for DD's appointment if found qualified. I'm curious with your SAT or ACT score? DD's portal has no update yet but awarded today with a 4 yr. scholarship on AROTC. I hope to hear from you. Thanks.

My son received the same letter a few weeks ago - and I was curious if everyone received that once they finished their application...? Maybe not? - so I am hopeful it is a good thing - lots of prayers happening here! Good Luck to you, too!

That is a 3Q letter. Not all candidates receive them. In my own experience, DD received one her first year and did not get an appointment. She did not receive one her second year and did receive an appointment.

Comparing just your SAT score to someone who may have received a 3Q letter is absolutely useless. You are qualified by the admission's board based on your entire file.
