Of course, my October SAT scores came out AFTER the deadline for first boards. Is there any way to update the scores now before the boarding starts on Monday? My score improved enough that it might make a difference in my file. Thank you for your help.

If not in time for this first boarding, am I able to update the score in between boards?

Go ahead and try to upload! You can add scores even after you’ve been boarded, but I’m assuming you haven’t yet. Do you have everything else in and are ready for the first board?

Everything has been complete for a good long while. I'm concerned that I'll mess up my board ready status if I try and upload things.

my DS just got another varsity letter for this season. He updated his application by including the new letter. The status still shows as “board ready”.

Opinions may vary but I’ll offer this – Granted, it’s a terrific feeling to have a ROTC scholarship in-hand with a DODMERB being complete and college acceptances sooner than later, and yet, I would want my DD or DS to have their very strongest application reviewed by the board when it’s their review moment – full stop. If updating a SAT score or adding a varsity letter at the 23rd hour with a significant update means a risk that perhaps this candidate will be evaluated in board 2 instead, I would do it. If they are strong enough to win a scholarship in board 1, they will be strong enough to win a scholarship in board 2, as well.

What do you call the person who graduated last and a year later than most from med school? “Doctor”. There is no distinction on any of the ROTC scholarships that my DS received that states when he received them. Just sayin.

Good luck to all candidates. Put your best feet forward.

Thank you all for this sage advice. I updated it with my new scores and they were approved before boarding started. Thank you.
