Service Academy Forums® Members and Guests, We have completed the main part of the software transition and are now opening the forum up. We appreciate your patience while we work to maintain the best experience for our users. Please note that, in an effort to return to service as quickly as possible, some functionality and minor changes will be added over the coming days. Below is some important information related to the new software: Updates are in bold Update Time Zone If you need to update your time zone, you can do so at http://www.serviceacademyforums.com/index.php?account/preferences. The time zone is used to tell you the dates/times of others' posts, among other things. Multi-quote - UPDATED To multi-quote within a single page, you can hit reply to each post you want to quote and the quotes will appear in the editor at the bottom of the page. To multi-quote across pages, use the "+ Quote" button in the bottom right of the posts you want to quote. This can be used to multi-quote across pages. When your ready to compose your message, click the "Insert Quotes..." button beneath the reply editor (note that this button only appears when the "+ Quote" button is selected on at least one post. Mark All Forums Read All members should click "Mark Forums Read" in the top navigation bar under the Forums section. This will enable you to see all new unread posts. Private Messages are now Conversations Private messages are now referred to as conversations and are available at http://www.serviceacademyforums.com/index.php?conversations/ or via the drop-down link in the navigation bar. Note that conversations should not be confused with profile posts. Profile posts are publicly viewable by all members. The new URL structure and its effect on links The new software utilizes a new URL structure (namely, it includes more information). Old URLs will still work because we have redirects in place. For example, this URL under the vBulletin software now redirects automatically to the new structure: http://www.serviceacademyforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=994. Photoplog Photos Previously, we were using a photo software suite called Photoplog. We have changed to a new photo software and imported all of the old photos. To see the new software in action, please visit http://www.serviceacademyforums.com/index.php?gallery/new-photos. Forum Skin We anticipate modifying the forum "skin" (or site appearance and colors) within the next week.
