Does anyone know if the 6 senior military colleges are not attending NSI this year due to budget cuts?

I think it has more to do with a higher likelihood of conflicts with new cadet orientations for the military colleges which is a key element of those programs. I think Texas A&M does some of their stuff fairly early in the summer and for VMI, Citadel, Va Tech the cadre periods can be starting as early as the first or second week of August.

UNG doesn't have NROTC

I'm confident @emwvmi01 hit the nail on the head. This has nothing to do with budget cuts. One purpose of the program is to help ensure that kids enrolled at "regular" colleges get a similar standard of initial training as some really didn't have much of a freshman orientation. They already know the SMCs are achieving this, so screwing up the SMC summer schedules doesn't make much sense.

DS was just told from personnel at NETC that because he is attending Norwich, he does not have to attend NSI.
