Air Force ROTC
  • 42 Second Lieutenants commissioned in May and August
  • AFROTC cadets completed the spring semester with a 3.751 GPA
  • 32 of 89 cadets attended Summer Field Training (FT) at Maxwell AFB, AL. Due to COVID-19 the remaining cadets will attend in Summer 2021.
  • 65 Air Force High School Scholarship recipients arrived for Freshman Orientation Week (FOW).
  • 325 Air Force ROTC cadets in our Fall 2020 classes.
Army ROTC
  • 70 Second Lieutenants commissioned in May and August.
  • 84 incoming freshmen received National Army ROTC scholarships; 27 were awarded 4-year scholarships and 57 received 3-year advanced-designee scholarships. [My comment - if this is representative nationally, then it appears Cadet Command is really getting away from awarding 4-year scholarships in favor of 3 year AD scholarships. This 4-year number is, by far, the lowest at A&M among the three ROTC programs.]
Navy/Marine ROTC
  • 33 Naval Officers commissioned during the May and August ceremonies.
    • 18 Ensigns in the Navy and 15 Second Lieutenants in the Marine Corps.
  • 44 4-Year National Scholarship students checked in during FOW.
    • 30 Navy contracts and 14 Marine Corps contracts.
  • 82 freshman cadets have indicated a desire to sign up for the NROTC Basic College Program in order to commission into the Naval Service at graduation.
    • 68 students are Navy option and 14 students are Marine option.
  • 37 of 39 cadets graduated from USMC Officer Candidate School (OCS).
    • NROTC: 14 of 14
    • Platoon Leaders Class (PLC): 23 of 25

Great info here. Thanks for posting. It would be great to see this type of information from the other SMCs as well.
