The NYT ran this story of President Anarumo's self-imposed quarantine in the barracks. It's a nice piece on the mental health implications of covid isolation measures and the efforts of the NU president to gain the cadet perspective. It doesn't mention the potential costs to a storied institution as a result of state-imposed restrictions. NU seems to have played by the book and reduced covid positives to near zero, but how many students won't return or will choose another school next year for fear of a continued lockdown?

Great article, you can also watch an excellent interview with President Anarumo online at Anderson Cooper 360. President Anarumo has really earned the praise and respect of the students and parents. I expect by fall semester things will be back closer to normal.
Praying they return to Normal next fall....

Sadly, it will be up to the State of Vermont. I can only imagine the political hidden agenda by keeping NU in extreme covid conditions much more than any of the other SMC.
