Hello! I just joined this group and have been doing a lot of browsing. By way of full disclosure, I am a retired engineer, USAF veteran (enlisted and direct-commissioned), and recent author looking to learn more about current status of armed services - especially the new Space Force. My genre is science faction as I have trouble getting too far out of the realm of what's possible or believable. I have four short reads(<1 hr) under my belt in a series called Space Force America so I would really like to hear from current academy members or veterans who are following the real Space Force's development. I put a lot of effort into getting the characters right, along with the lore of the armed services. No sensationalism, denigration, no profit motive. As much as I can, I make my work free to anybody who wants to read it. Well, I'll click POST and get back to browsing.
