Hello,

Elections are coming up for NHS and I'm going to run for a position. I'm curious to know if a position such as treasurer has less weight than let's say a president on a SA application. Or do they both have the same impact on the leadership score? Thanks:)

Having a leadership role in an organization or club no mater what the position will always carry more weight than being a regular member whether it is in chess club or NHS.

Agreed. Try to shoot for a position that you'll know you'll get. Anything is better than nothing.

NHS president will carry more weight than any other NHS position. There is an old Rand report, in the report is gives higher points to NHS president.

President is worth more...but DS was treasurer because he was asked by the faculty sponsors to please be treasurer. It was/is a lot of work and he was happy to be in the most useful role for his skill set. So do what works best for you not just what looks best.
