Looks like NJ Senators are in weekend 2 of 3 interviews. Approximately 290 today, probably the same last week and next week. Not sure of breakdown per SA. Good luck to all in the mix.

Do they interview every applicant? Those numbers are huge!
Looks like each candidate was interviewed by each senator, but for only 1 academy. Best we can figure, is, that a total of about 400-450 candidates are being interviewed for the Academies. Distribution, unknown. Just our best guess, but bottom line, they are interviewing a large number.

If I recall correctly from years past, NJ is very late in releasing their slates...think like Xmas or Jan.

I think last year it was at the deadline, January 31, with phone calls to those nominated on Feb 1. My DS was told during one of his interviews that this time around it will be January 10 .

The Senators try to coordinate with the other NJ MOCs to maximize the number of constituents that get nominations.

Mostly out of curiosity, my DS received one from our Congressman but never heard from either Senator. Were nominations made from Senator Booker/ Menendez? Is it customary to receive notice if you did not get a nomination or only if you did? Given the lengthy application process and interviews it would be nice to provide even if it is a sorry you were not nominated.

I received a call from Menendez when he gave me his nominations. No letter. Bookers nominations went out from what I have heard, with no call or letter or even an email. It just showed up on the portal.

I got a letter "regretfully informing me we could not award you a nomination at this time" from Booker.

Congrats to you NJUSNA and sorry to hear nikkip. Thanks for info. At least you folks heard something.
