Am I allowed to bring civilian clothes or do I have to wait until after the 21 day indoc type period?

You should have gotten that list they sent out. Some civilian clothes, mainly for sleeping in. And I think we are allowed one change of civilian clothes for when we go home on leave.

Your first opportunity for civilian clothing off campus will be the weekend after mid-term grades are posted (about 22 OCT). Only if you have the grades and Deportment to earn a furlough. The next opportunity will be at the Thanksgiving break (18 NOV). You won't need to bring a jacket for that trip because we'll issue you one.
Night clothing is required but can be of your choosing.
The list the Commandant's office puts out is pretty informative.
