Pure speculation on my part - This area (Brigade) met or exceeded their 'mission' for the graduating year groups in question. Additionally, there may be a decrease in the number of commissioned officers needed from the same year groups.

I did ask the ROO at two colleges and both have said that there are no AROTC campus bases scholarships at this time and could be the same for next year also.

Did he say why? For example, are they giving out MORE national scholarships instead? Or are they cutting back their battalion mission? Is this a nationwide issue or just in your brigade?

Control what you can control. Be ready, be fit, get good grades, if the ROO asks you to start your DODMERB get it done, do what your program asks to be considered (attend a board, submit a resume) I have seen money materialize in weeks, and I have seen dry spells that last months.

No reason was given as to why. One ROO said he was notified last week. As far as our DD she has been through DODMERB and is clear. Our first choice was National, then our backup was campus based. She was told after her interview at the army college board, she was 1st. and paperwork was sent to cadet command. Then the letter came out to the college to notify about CC is not sending funds for campus based. So now our DD is applying for army national guard SMP program and DEDNG scholarship. This has been brutal but she is still going for it. Even thou she won't get active duty she still wants it. She sure is determined !

There are a ton of unique opportunities in the Guard (more than AD in some cases) for the individual that is motivated to find them, including multiple routes to Active Duty.
