No Contact At All?

Hello everyone, I recently received an LOA to USAFA and all that's left in my application is the medical examination process. I am an overseas applicant in South Korea (non-military) and was never contacted by the DoDMERB. Over the past two months, I've tried to contact both their email and phone number multiple times with no success. I was, however, able to contact CIV Team (who told me that my examination wouldn't be processed through the DoDMETS website or CIV Team, being overseas).

This is frustrating because I haven't been able to even begin my medical examination process (in case of any complications). It makes less sense since I've had a relative receive information from the DoDMERB recently, despite submitting her kit after mine (she is also in South Korea, applying from Humphreys Army Garrison). The USAFA admissions team also confirmed that my file was sent.

Is there anything else I could do? Is Mr. Mullen able to respond to any emails at this time? (I'm aware he's busy with the DoDmerb website). Also, is there any specific due date when a medical clearance is required by? Thank you all for your time and assistance!

Have you emailed or called DoDMERB?

Yes, I've emailed them twice and called several times— I never received a response or had someone pick up.
Best advice I have for you is to comb the DoDMERB forum here on SAF for similar applicants to you - OCONUS, not near a military base, see what forms they got, what they had to do. In the last few months, I have seen posts from similar applicants for this cycle.
DM them. At some point DoDMERB will come back up, but you do need to get started on this.

Good news, I've been able to contact a technician and received the initial forms + examination files!

Super late but hope everything worked out for you! Went through the same thing last year so I know how annoying the process can be from overseas :D

Hey I’m also applying as a non-military from South Korea. I hope things work out for you! PM me if you have any questions.

There are a few connections for you.

Love this helpful SAF!!

Good luck to all of you!
