No District Representatives until after deadline

The district I live in does not have a representative at the moment, and won't have one until when the nomination applications are due to my knowledge. The former representative was appointed as a secretary so the elections for a new rep is going on at the moment. Who would I reach out to, to apply for a representative nomination? Any other sources that I may be able to receive a nomination from as a result of this, or am I out of luck with getting a representative nomination?

Good question for Admissions!!

Call the office of the representative. Typically, they will have a Service Academy coordinator. The office still has workers to support constituents. They likely have a plan for this cycle that may include submitting packages like normal. Their MOC board of advisors is generally a group that serves each year and would still continue the process even without a named Representative. This process lingers and it is likely that they would have a list of recommendations for the Representative once named after the special election. The real deadline for districts to get names into the Academy for their slates is not until next calendar year, so there is actually plenty of time.

My advice would be to start with the office of the Representative and if unsatisfied or your really do not get an answer, then go up a level to your Academy Admissions advisor.

MOC NOM's are generally facilitated by people working on behalf of your MOC. Most have websites that explain their application process. Have you looked there and are you saying they don't have a way to submit an application for the latest cycle? In most cases you apply for a MOC NOM without ever having to call/talk with someone in that office. The office being vacant usually has no impact on organizing the NOM process for this cycle. Only if you can't see a way to apply for NOM on their website would I be trying to get in contact with someone.
