Anyone out there who didn’t receive a nomination but still haven’t received a TWE.

Yep, one here too. he's hoping for a VP one. backup plan is a 4 year AROTC scholarship (although he needs vision waivers)

Still waiting as well....
Still waiting too,
DD accepted her 4 year AROTC scholarship and committed to her ROTC college where she will major in nursing (which West Point doesn’t have) and will also be running track. Moving on.....so even if a BFE shows up (she did get a congressional nomination) she is going to decline....it’s a shame these kids put so much effort into their appointment process and we are @ May 3 and still no communication from USMA at all. Oh well, I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and she has made up her mind, nursing degree then nursing Corp USArmy. Good luck to all still waiting! God Bless!

Good Luck 2022USMAHopefuldad and also to you DD. My DD is going to do the same thing as yours. She will decline as she has already accepted her full ride academic scholarship as well and plans to go a different route. I understand the frustration and believe that the academies are losing out on a lot of top notch candidates by waiting so long to provide feedback. The need to get a bit more consistent with their communications to candidates. My DD felt she was always initiating the dialogue and basically got tired of the lack of depth in the responses. She recently declined another academy as well but it was a great ride. Good Luck to all still in the running and may God Bless these outstanding young people who go on to serve our great nation.

@2022USMAHopefuldad - Congratulations on your DD's 4 year scholarship. I hope you stick around and share your experiences on the ROTC forum.

Back in 2015, I was in your shoes and three years later, here I am still kicking around these threads. DS commissions next year.

I sure will stick around...and continue to update our experiences.....Thank You AROTC-dad. She couldn’t have made out better really. 4 year ROTC scholarship covers tuition, fees and books. Presidential Academic scholarship covers room and board. And she is passionate about serving her country. Go Army!

Does West Point send out TWE's to applicants who do not have a nomination? My DS did not get a nomination, but has also not gotten a TWE.

starting to wonder that myself. DS only had a nomination to USNA not to WP.

Did they apply for the VP nom? I know it’s along shot, but somebody has to get them.

The year my DS got the TWE, he also applied to AFA, but had no nom there. He did receive notification of closing his file as it wasn't complete (lacking nom). This class at USMA is significantly smaller. I don't anticipate any "May miracles," but could be wrong--that's why they're called "miracles."

When my DS (who had a nom but needed a waiver) didn't hear back by the stated deadline, he contacted his RC who informed him that his file had been closed.
The next day, a correspondence letter was added to his portal....not sure if that was coincidence or if the email contact triggered the update. Have those of you still waiting contacted someone for update? DS, while disappointed, was relieved to know the outcome so he could move forward. Good luck to you all!

My son did not receive a nomination and late April we checked the portal and there was a letter they closed his file due to lack of nomination. Sad day here but he’s on to plan B and very excited. This was a long process unfortunately we live in a very competitive state. Good luck to all who made it in.

I don’t think you will receive a TWE unless you received a nomination. Mine got two nominations and two rejections.

Also not sure appointments are still being offered. Not sure. Daughter received Falcon Foundation Scholarship offers yesterday so I know those are still going out & I don’t know if they needed a nomination. In any event, good luck to all.
