If you do not receive a nomination from your congressman/congresswoman or your senator do you still receive a TWE or are you essentially automatically denies?

Without the nomination, a legal authority to be admitted to an academy, you cannot be appointed. There may be cases where some applicants receive nominations from the Supt./Secretary of Army but to my knowledge they are highly qualified, wanted or are athletes.
However if you do receive a nomination and you do not get the appointment in your district, you move onto the National Waiting List.

@Hockey8797 basically, they will send you a file closure notice for not having a nomination when they get to it. There's not exactly a whole lot of rush since you can't be offered and the RCs have plenty of other work to fill in the class of 2020.
