Hey guys I'm in a tentative situation at the moment. I've looked at ROTC and it looks like a great opportunity. However, it looks like one of the requirements is an SAT score (for AFROTC). I have registered for the SAT on 4 separate occasions but all 4 have been cancelled. Is there any alternative? Do they waive the SAT requirement or use similar results on the PSAT for measurement? Thanks so much!

Have you gone to the AFROTC website and read the updated policy for SAT/ACT scores? Have you read every page, tab, link and pulldown? As you know, the inability to take SAT/ACT is a national phenomenon and is being addressed by every college and college-related entity. So the answer is there. But it takes a bit of effort and attention to detail

Just a quick look at AFROTC's FB page - they had an interactive briefing on Oct 7. I would also recommend scouring their social media pages - FB, Instagram, Twitter to find out when the next one is. If this is an issue for you - then most likely it is an issue for many and may be addressed or you can ask them directly through one of their interactive sessions. But - yes, look at every page, tab, link, and pulldown EVERYWHERE to see if there is an answer. Good luck to you!

Also, keep a record/copy of emails, letters, or other notifications you receive of cancelations. You may need these to show you made an honest attempt.

SAT/ACT are still required per a memorandum sent out 2 months ago from AFROTC HQ.

I made a post over it here:
