Just curious if anyone else has not heard a word from admissions? Although DS has accepted his appointment to USNA his Plan A, he hasn't heard anything at all from West Point.

So why not call admissions? I don't think anyone here can tell you what's going on at this point. At best you would only get conjecture on your particular situation.

My DS contacted his RC about a week or 2 ago. There's been no updates. He was verbally offered an AOG scholarship back in March but still waiting. We actually reached out to MMI and he was accepted into their SAP program as a self prep student if the AOG scholarship never happens. Waiting is the toughest part. He's already turned down several schools w/ a 4 year AROTC scholarship.

Nothing for my DS, no TWE, no BFE, no portal change, no response from 2 attempted contacts to RC after 4/20.

In addition to the RC, have you attempted to reach the regional technical support person? I would recommend it.

Dr.Mom - is this the individual with the title "Candidate Technician?"

YES! They are really the experts and can tell you where your RC is...if he or she is travelling. The Candidate Techs are there day after day, year after year.

Your DS can accept the AOG and STILL get direct appointment to West Point for this year. It happened to my DD.

I would say 'Congratulations' but isn't your son already accepted to the Naval Academy?

Absolutely! By moving through the declination quickly it opens up the opportunity for some other hopeful Army officer!
