I originally needed a waiver for a right wrist fracture, however, I submitted a note from my orthopedic surgeon stating my wrist was fine. A couple days later my USAFA portal changed to ”qualified.” I believe I no longer need a waiver. Is this unusual?

Yup.

Qualified means just that. No waiver required, because you fit the DoDMERB guidelines.

A waiver would only be needed if you fell outside of the guidelines.

May I ask how you submitted the note from your surgeon? Did you submit it through your USAFA portal or to the DODMERB? Thanks in advance for your help!
