Hi all,

Well my nomination interviews went very well. I feel really good about them. I was pretty relaxed being that I had already been through the process once before. I am physically and medically qualified. I have a pretty heavy course load and I'm doing extracurriculars (19.00 credits, 21.00 next semester, along with clubs and Marine Corps ROTC). I also received the NROTC nomination from the CO of my battalion at my school. My BGO told me that I'd be in if my grades are up to par. He put it like this, If I can pull two A's a B out of Calc, Chem, and English, my chances are more than good. I'm trying my best, but I don't think that's going to happen. I took Eng 101 and 102 and some electives in the summer and aced them all, but college Calc and Chem are killing me. I have one more test in each before finals, and if I'm lucky, there'll be two B-'s. I have A's in everything else, too.

Do you think my chances are dractically lowered by this? And is it possible to get NAPS or Foundation or anything besides that nasty TWE?

I've sent you a PM.

For others out there, as a general rule, USNA likes to see As or high Bs from college applicants in the "plebe courses," especially calc and chem.

Hang in there! Study like there's no tomorrow for those 2 exams. You CAN do this. It's crunch time. Know we're with you.
