Hey y'all so I'm writing one of the essays for one my senators and I'm having trouble answering one of the question. the question is this "Please describe how Academy life will benefit you, post-graduation, as a service member and individual in the local community." It's not that I don't know what to say it's that every time I'm able to put my thoughts into words it always sounds cliche. Can someone give me some advice/help?

Thank you in advance

It's not a bad call to try to stray from the cliche but don't make it inauthentic. If you can provide a valid and meaningful argument for your thesis, then I would stick with your gut. They get enough essays of people telling them what they want to hear. On my essay with a similar prompt, I compared ROTC and OCS with the academy to lay out the pros and cons and describe why the academy was ultimately the best choice for my education. The structure, discipline, and experience that comes with an academy education is very different than any other commissioning source. Good luck!
