Hello all,

My nomination source comes out with decisions in the next week or so. I was wondering if I should notify them that although I failed one portion of the CFA (passing everything else), I am retaking it this weekend. I did the mile run inside because of the weather and ran in circles around a gym about 20 times, which was not a great idea. Is it good to be honest about the situation or not say anything? How could this affect the office's decision making? Thanks so much!

Since the MOC/Senatorial nomination processes are independent from the academies, it isn't so important for them to know about your CFA situation. As long as you fulfilled the Nom's requirements (application, letters of rec, interview), I would recommend not informing them of this and letting their office do their thing.

Great, thank you so much for the help! I was worried because last year, the interview panel mentioned how they had people with nominations fail the CFA. I don't expect to fail completely this weekend, I am doing it outside as the weather will be better this weekend and hopefully that'll help.

@semchon is correct. Two different applications that are related, but MOC doesn’t need to know about the CFA. Keep them separate and fix that CFA.
Will do! Thank you for the help! Only had issues on the mile run, having to run in a bunch of circles. Wasn't too much off the time I needed either. Appreciate it!

Good luck with that run! Stay hydrated before and kill it!
