Nomination essay

My DD's AP English teacher says she needs an intro to her essay but the max. word count is 200 and she has 196. There is nothing she can cut in her essay. Not word and is straight to the point including a few acomplishments showing her desire to seek a nomination. Is an intro really necessary in this case?

It is a 200 word essay, so considering the length I do not think an intro paragraph is necessary or even helpful.

As stated, its for the nom essay. Your nom wants to know your DD on a personal level and understand her desire to attend WP. Make it personal, in my opinion.

^^ I agree, the English teacher is simply offering an opinion. There is no set formula for what a NOM essay should look like.
