Just curious how many essay prompts your nomination sources are asking as part of your nomination package.
Seven here on one of my sources. Seems a bit over the top... sigh...

It’s part of the test - do you have the will, determination, perseverance to plow through them with your best effort. Promise yourself a treat of some kind when you’re done and get going on knocking them out of the park.

Just think that these 7 essay prompts might discourage other competitive candidates from applying which will probably allow you to compete with less people for the nomination. That being said, really try hard on these essays as they are key to get an interview.

For my representative, my essay is only 1 page max. My senators are 2 prompts 500 word max and the other is 2 pages max.

One of mine has 8 prompts, but they're all short answer prompts max 300 words.

The challenges of the application process do seem to weed out those who don't have the will and/or perseverance to complete the process. You really have to want this (not mom and dad) to wade through it all and complete a quality application.

That's not a bad thing. And if you are successful, the amount of work you will do at any of the SAs will pale in comparison.

*Glaces over at the code project I'm writing, other code project I have, the paper which has all the military formatting needs along with the paper, the knowledge I need to go over and the French I'm writing* nahhhhh nomination essays are harder. JK, for the nomination essays just take an hour and grind it out then a break then repeat one more time. Even if it's not good, you can't edit a blank paper.

For my district I had to complete 10 short essays, plus an optional information section.

I think that I preferred it to writing a single essay; I felt like I was able to highlight leadership roles, my values, my personality, and my unique experiences in a better capacity than I could’ve in one or two essays.
