Nomination Interview Language

I don't recall where I heard this, but I remember reading that we should use certain "lingo" during our interviews, such as "yes sir/ma'am," etc. Is there anything else I should be aware of for my nomination Interview? Thank you!

I would not call it lingo rather than just respectful and polite behavior.
 
If you have not been raised to use these polite honorifics and they don’t feel comfortable to you, at a minimum, your posture, tone and speech should be respectful, not casual. Just keep in mind if you attain your military service goal, “sir” and “ma’am” will quickly become part of your daily speech. There may even be “sir sandwiches” - “Sir, yes sir” - during certain training phases.
