Ok, so DS just had his nom interview. There were approx 30 candidates. The whole interview was 10 mins. In and out. Not just his, but At least the others while they were there waiting. He said they just asked why SA? And a few other questions and that was it. My husband saw all of them just go in and out quickly while waiting. After all
Of the stress and practicing questions, is this normal? What can you glean in 10 minutes? Curious to know if this has happened elsewhere.

It was explicitly stated for me that you have 10 minutes to interview per candidate. For me a new person entered the room exactly every 15 minutes. For most time has nothing to do with the quality of the interview

Min info somewhere. Well, fingers crossed!

Some don't state it however I believe it is the case for most nomination committees. If it helps my interview was 10 min with just a few questions, I definitely felt like there was more to share when it was time to end. However, I received the nomination from my senator, they simply don't have enough time to go into detail. I did see the files they had of our applications and my essay / resume / test scores and transcripts were clearly visible to them even during the interview, so they are not just going off of those 10 minutes, although the interview is an important step if selected for one. Best of luck!
