Son got notice of his Senator nomination interview in early Dec . Looks like about 40-45 students vying for this senator's nomination slots (so approx. 1 in 4 chance of a nomination)...will be done via Zoom...

If it is set up the same as my son’s they didn’t break it up by which SA the applicant was applying for. So unless they did for your Senator, odds could be a little better for each specific SA. Good luck to your son. Even getting invited for an interview can be tough in some states!

And just remember, you are assuming just one vacancy per academy when sometimes these MOCs have a second vacancy as well for an academy. We are in Virginia and historically Senators get 500-700 applicants! One Senator conducts zoom interviews, and one uses only written interview questions. Congressman does in-person interviews with his panel. Good luck and thanks for his willingness to serve!

DD just received her nomination, It doesn't say anything about a Senator interview, it just says, "You will be contacted directly, by the Military Academy". Is this correct?
