Reach out now so you have proof to the academies that you have been actively pursuing it.I recently posted here about how I got a nomination, but my congressman has yet to actually submit it to USAFA. I know it’s due on the 31st and it’s making me a bit nervous. At what point do I reach out to his office?
Reach out as in tell team silver/blue or my ALO? Thank you for the advice.Reach out now so you have proof to the academies that you have been actively pursuing it.
Overall, its not something in your control, and would be the fault of the nomination source. That would not be good for the congressmen, so be patient, they will get it to you.
For example, I have noms for both USAFA/USMA from the same congressman. Except, noms showed up for USAFA a month ago, and until this point, USMA noms are still not in. They emailed me back saying that it will be in and that its due to an administrative issue.
So rest assured, you can only patiently wait.

I talked to her and she said that the nomination was submitted. Should I still be worried? What happens if it’s not in by the due date? One of your congressman’s staffers probably has a reminder in their calendar on January 31st that says “Submit Academy Nominations”. I wouldn’t bother anyone about it until a week after they are due.
The MOC would receive a special phone call from the staff at the admissions office, asking them VERY nicely for them to submit their slates.I talked to her and she said that the nomination was submitted. Should I still be worried? What happens if it’s not in by the due date?
It won’t be your fault. Like said above, you have the emails and proof of pursuit. Even the staffer told you they submitted. If its not it by then, that moc would have a very bad rep and an earful from someone in admissions/government. They wouldn’t want that to happen.I talked to her and she said that the nomination was submitted. Should I still be worried? What happens if it’s not in by the due date?
