Nomination on USNA portal…glitch?

Our daughter’s portal shows a nomination from California Senator 1. However, we believed that Feinstein was Senator 1. Tonight she got a rejection letter from Feinstein but a nomination in the portal. She reached out to admissions and is waiting to hear back. Has anyone had the experience where the portal said they received a nomination but then find out that it was incorrect?

Feinstein wasn’t 1.
