So last week I got a congressional nom, but this week I got a senatorial nom (both to USAFA). This leaves me with a couple of questions:
1. If I don't get a nom from the second senator (only one who hasn't released decisions) to USNA, does that mean I have no chance of getting into USNA? Usafa is my first choice still, so I'm more curious than worried.

2. The nomination from my senator is a "competitive method nomination". I was not aware of different types, could someone explain what this means? The wording on his website is a little confusing.

Happy holidays!

Re-read the Sticky post pinned to the top of the Nominations forum; that will clarify some points.

Even if you don’t have an elected official’s nom, there is a shot at the VP nom and any discretionary noms controlled by USNA you are eligible for.
