Hello, I just had quick question for those who have already received appointments. How were you notified if your nomination source left office? My senator left office at the beginning of 2021 and I did not know if I should still expect him to call/email me if I were to receive an appointment.

Have you asked the current SA staffer (meaning the one assigned to the new Senator) directly as to how this might be handled?

One of my nominations left office this year as well. I was notified of their nomination early in either November or December by mail. The other two nominations I applied for I heard back from in January if that puts anything in perspective. Hope this helps.

Chances are that the folks that manage the nomination process have transitioned with the new elected official and it will probably be seamless.

Mine left office, so he got his noms done early. I got my appointment before he left office, but didn't get a call from him before my portal updated.
You're probably far less likely to get the call first if your rep left office already

Many MOCs don't call to announce acceptance, even if still in office. They are all given the opportunity, but only some of them do this. I'd just check your portal each morning. If you end up getting a call from the new MOC---- great, but I'd expect the news to come from an email to check your portal.
