Thanks everyone! It was from Illinois 13th District, the Honorable Judy Biggert.

go illinois! im in the 14th district, the Honorable Bill Foster. Hope to see you on I-Day:thumb:

I got one from Todd Akin. Congressmen submit a list of 10 nominations, right?
Is there any way to find out where I am on the list?

The congressmen don't have to submit the lists until the second week of January. I don't know whether or not they make the lists public. I haven't been able to find any from the past.

Most congressman will state how they handed in their list, principal, rank or competitive. If principal the SA must take number 1 on the list, if number 1 declines than number 2 or the most competitive gets it. If the MOC does compet. than the highest WCS wins and there is no way to know how you rack or stack.

MOCs have until the end of Jan/First of Feb to get the list in. MOC's typically don't wait until the end if they have had their list back in NOV. This is why you will see appts start coming out now. Don't fret you can't get an appt if you MOC has not submitted their list, ea MOC in ea state does it differently and at different times. Just sit back and wait

BTW you can easily find the lists from the past yrs...they typically put the list of all of their noms on their web page in their news sections, go back about a yr ago and you will find it. I know our DS was published in all 3 MOC's websites.

MOC=Member of Congress
WCS= Whole Candidate Score

If you look on the AFA site it shows you the % assigned for your WCS. 60% is for SAT/GPA and class rankings. 20% is for ECs and 20% is for admissions panel (this includes the CFA, ALO rec and your essays). All of them are assigned points, tally the points and you get you WCS

i got my nomination from the Honorable Jim Demint of SC
now i just need to get a waiver from DoDMERB
