I was just wondering, how long after you request for a nomination are you going to hear back from them. I did mine in November.

Hard to say. I received a nomination from my local Congressman. Found out last night and had turned my application packet into his office near the end of October.

Some will find out quickly, others not so quickly.

why do you want a nomination if you are applying to the cga? anyways, you need to request one before october. the interviews take place in novemberish and then you recieve it about the 1st of december, so my guess is that you waited too long.

it varies with different offices. I did my last interview yesterday. They are required to give you an answer by Jan31, but my senators took 2 weeks. So pretty quick.

Every Congressional Office operates under their own schedule. My daughter had two senator and one congressman interview in one week in November. Senators announce this month and her congressman won't announce until next month - after the senators have made their pick.

Lesya, on the application or website they normally say when they expect to announce. Did you interview yet? If not then ask. If you did and they did not tell you then call your MOC's office and ask for the Nominations Manager - that person should be able to inform you.

No , I didn't have my interview yet. I thought I would get a letter saying when that will be. Ichecked their sites to see if they have dates on them ,its Jan. Thanks!

Nominations.

radawsonco. My 2 senators extended the deadline for Nominations to Dec 1st for some reason. My guess is they didn't have that many apply for nominations. So I'm good.Should know this month or in Jan.

you're lucky there is little competition. here in colorado springs getting one is harder than getting into the afa itself... nonetheless i managed to get one :)
