I live in NYC, specifically, Brooklyn. This is the part of the application which I am most worried about. I wish to one day get a nomination, but my GPA is not the best. I am well above average on most other aspects, but I happen to have a valid reason for the low GPA. Is it still possible to get a recommendation/nomination from a representative? The GPA is a 3.3 weighted with 4 AP classes. (This would be at the time I am applying to USMA).

Nobody can tell you.

Are there more than ten with great GPAs, that are well above average in most/all other aspects?

Do you interview better than the others?

The selection committee for your MOC will look at the same criteria as USMA admissions. Get your GPA as high as possible. A 3.3 is definitely low by USMA standards, buy there is more to the application and you didn’t provide that data. Use your essays to show why the low GPA and what you’ve learned/improved.
You can help offset the GPA by getting astounding scores on standardized tests. Shoot for 720+ individual SAT or 33+ ACT. Athletics should be a minimum of a varsity letter in a sport. Letters in multiple sports will really help. Leadership activities should be solid and demonstrable. Good luck.
