Nominations FAQ

What do you mean? I received Falcon Foundation and it clearly says I need to obtain a nomination
You need a nomination and an offer of appointment to attend USAFA. Nominations do not last more than 1 cycle, so nominations are applied for again from all sources for which the applicant is eligible. This is part of reapplying.

As stated above, you do not need a nomination to be offered a Falcon Foundation Scholarship and attend a partner prep school. You should be preparing to reapply for nominations for the cycle for USAFA Class fo 2028 before you go to the prep school.

Your DoDMERB exam is good for 2 years, and you’ll update any changes to your medical history if needed.

The prep school is well-versed in supporting your reapplication process, but you still own the planning and execution.

If you have questions on how it all works, consult the Falcon Scholarship staff, prep school SA program advisor, etc.

Thank you for the clarification. The post before that one was asking about the nomination process before/while attending the prep schools, which is different from the response.
