I heard from a friend that the Congressman in our district has already scheduled an interview for a nomination application for her so for USNA. Should I be worried that my DD has not received the same request for an interview at this point? Is it possibly that USNA is a bit further along in the process? All her applications were in well before the deadlines. She has an LOA and is medically qualified.

Thanks again for any help you can offer. This forum has been so helpful through this process!

Call or email the rep in the MOC's office handling nominations and confirm that all materials were received and ask about interview schedule. Every office is different.

I agree reach out to the office without the attitude of "what about me?" More like, when will interview be held.

Thank you! She followed your advice exactly and got a very prompt reply. They did see right through it and assured her that interviews just started. But it was great to know everything arrived ok. Thanks again.

I thought all MOC's did interviews for all candidates of all academies at the same time. Would be surprised if someone did only one academy at a particular time; unless some very special circumstance for a particular individual. Either way, a phone call should clear it up.

^^ Agreed. Interviews to my knowledge are for all applicable SA's. They don't hold separate interviews for specific SA's.

In our state there were separate MOC boards for each of the service academies. They had different individuals on each board and they were held on multiple weekends. On the other hand, in some states the MOCs don't even hold interview boards and select the nominees strictly from their packets.
