Actually I was wondering if there was a correlation between the timing of appointments for Principal noms vs competitive. Do principal noms necessarily get reviewed & recieve appointments earlier than those from competitive slates? Or is it purely a matter of when the board picks up that stack?
Not sure re timing. In theory, principal noms should hear fairly early once the slates are in. I would say that, if you are a principal and there is no LOA candidate on your slate, you should hear soon . . . but can't be certain on this point.
With a principal nom last year, they requested medical info to process a waiver in early February and the appointment came in mid March. For what it's worth.
I don't think anyone here could give you a definite answer. The process of charging nominations is very complicated. Assume the worst and don't lose sleep over when you may hear, otherwise these next few weeks might be very difficult.
