I'm a re-applicant from Maryland so I know how the Senators work, but I probably won't know about your specific congressman. Senator Van Hollen releases results in mid-January and Senator Ben Cardin is typically the last one to release results on the last day (January 31st). Maryland representatives coordinate among one another which is why you typically won't hear anything until later in December or January. Last year my congressman notified me about a nomination around this time to the Air Force Academy and Senator Ben Cardin nominated me on January 31st to the Naval Academy which caused me to yell at a very loud decibel to the delight of my family.Maryland
